Connect SmartChat to Claude

Connect SmartChat to Claude and manage your WhatsApp marketing right inside the conversation: contacts, inbox, newsletters, templates, follow-ups, automations, landing page and media.

You need a SmartChat account. Without an account Claude has no access to any data.

Setup

Open Claude and go to Settings > Connectors.
Add SmartChat. If it is not listed, add a custom connector with this address:

Click Connect.
Log in to SmartChat and allow access.
Done. Start a new chat and tell Claude what you need.

What Claude can do

Claude sees every tool with its exact name. Texts you give Claude are used word for word. All MCP tools (161)

Contacts	search, create, change, tag, unsubscribe, delete, export
Inbox	read chats, reply, mark as read, AI reply on or off per chat
Newsletters	create, change, preview, test, schedule, send, pause, resume, delete
Templates	create, change, delete, submit to WhatsApp
Follow-ups	create, change, pause, add and remove steps
Automations	create, change, test, pause, delete, connect calendar
Landing page and popup	change texts, images, blocks and style, publish
Media	upload images, videos and PDFs, list, delete
AI reply and knowledge	settings, learned answers, FAQ, documents
Account	statistics, credits, invoices, domains, team, notifications

Confirmations

Actions that send messages or submit templates first return a preview and a confirm_token. Only the second call with that token executes the action, so Claude asks you before anything goes out.

Not possible through Claude (on purpose)

Log in or change security settings
Buy plans, credits or domains, cancel a subscription
Delete the account
Create API keys
Connect or disconnect a WhatsApp number

For developers: API key

In Claude Code or Claude Desktop you can also use an API key. Create it in SmartChat under Settings > API keys and add it as a Bearer header:

Security and privacy

Claude only gets the permissions you approve when connecting.
You can disconnect at any time in SmartChat under Settings > Connected AI apps.
Consent of your contacts is always checked. Anyone who unsubscribed gets no message through Claude.
